Default If I download an image file for the MAC with a .sit extention, can I use my PC to burn it for the MAC - 07-24-2003 , 03:34 PM

Hi all,
I have a image file of a MAC program that is a .sit file. My question
is, can I somehow get this file burned to CDR using my PC so that the
MAC can install the program from the CD? Ideally I'd like to
completely create the Program CD on the PC so that the MAC can then
use it immediately, but if I need a work around or something, so be
it.

I have a PC with a Plextor 48/24/48A CDRW drive and I also have the
following programs installed. Isobuster, WinIso, Nero 6 Ultra, Roxio
Easy CD Creator 6 and CLone CD.

I am trying to creat this program CD for my friend who has the MAC, so
I don't actually have access to the MAC.

Also thanks to all who posted responses regarding my previous question
about the same program but in a .img file. I now alos have a .sit file
and I'm hoping that This one will work.

Any ideas, or instructions will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks in advance!!!
Regards,
Steve B.

Just burn the .sit file onto a CD. Your Mac-using friend can then just
extract the program file from the .sit (it's a StuffIt archive, a
compressed archive analog to ZIP) onto his/her hard drive.

The effort involved in creating an executable Mac CD on the PC is not
worth the extra bother IMHO.
