Hello,

I purchased a LiteON LH-20A1H DVD Drive and I cannot find a DOS device

XCDROM.SYS supports both CD and DVD and is a drop-in replacement for most
generic CD device drivers. Download the latest one from:

My cdwriter/dvdread drive is quite happy to read a dvd using generic
driver (I'm using vide-cdd.sys which I've had for years).
I can't test for write and my external LiteOn dvd writer isn't
recognized in dos since my bios isn't the latest for that feature.

You meant with standard CDROM.DRV and MSCDEX.EXE?

Spoke too soon... The driver works with my old LiteON CDRW drive, but
not with the LiteON DVDRW drive. Shoot. Any other suggestions?

I seem to remember that OAK made good device drivers back in the "old" days

I found this link:
http://www.cdrom-drivers.com/companies/745.htm

Totally untested, but maybe a starting point ?

Best Regards,
