IfoEdit works fine with the 16:9, Automatic pan and scan, Automatic letterbox flags set for the video part. Is there a best setting for the "menu" section so it wont distort the menu image when the DVD is played back in either 16:9, Pan and Scan, or Letterbox mode. Thanks |

Is there a best setting for the "menu" section so it wont distort the menu image when the DVD is played back in either 16:9, Pan and Scan, or Letterbox mode. Thanks It depends on your authoring program, however for me I'm using ConvertXtoDVD which always sets the flag of the menu (only) at 4:3 What I do, as I'm using a 16:9 display, make sure my menu image usually a bmp or jpg file is in real terms an image with a 16:9 aspect ratio I then squeeze it to 4:3 in PaintShop Pro. I then edit in IFOEdit the menu from 4:3 to 16:9 and that works for me - if you are using a videoclip except for the menu (can't do that in ConvertXtoDVD) then it would be an even more circuitous route! |
