Default some sort of virus - help - 04-27-2007 , 12:56 AM

does anybody know what dllhost or uy.exe is. everytime i start up my
computer, 5 minutes later i get this error report to send that says
'uy.exe has encountered a problem and must close'. furthermore, when
i go to my start menu/all programs/start up, there is this
application called dllhost and i dont know what it is. if anybody
knows what these things are or how i could get rid of them, please let
me know. i have a feeling they are either a virus or a worm.

Dllhost is part of the windows. The uy.exe doesn't come up much in
google but I did find 2 sites who reported it as malware. Try using
Ad-aware Personal SE

..php
(freeware)

Here's another good one but not as user friendly - Spybot:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

After you clean out your system, take a look at this site:

st/

Hopefully you have a good firewall and antivirus software installed.
If you don't here are some freeware apps for personal usage.

AVG Anti-Virus

Comodo Firewall
