what can it be

lately ive noticed that when ive tried to access my task manager, it
never shows up on the screen. ive tried the ctrl+alt+del combination
and right clicking on the toolbar\task manager alternative, and either
way it doesnt show up. what could be the reason for this?

Virus is the first thing that comes to mind.

You'd be better off asking in a Windows newsgroup. Version is important
