I'm sure I'm missing something very obvious here, but I'm trying to
put a Widescreen format file on a DVD and WinDVD Creator insists on
creating a 4:3 DVD. Worse, it'll add black bars far larger than
necessary, squashing the image. I can't find anything in the settings
about video proportions.

They do have a manual "WinCreator2_userguide.pdf" that is a bit more
useful than their somewhat useless help file. You can d/l it from the
intervideo web site. It's about 13mb.
