In the US I can buy almost 3 Pioneer 112D's for what your selling 1 for. I
don't think the exchange rate is 3 to 1, why are your prices so high?

I just bought a Pioneer DVR-112D with Nero for AU$55 from a local
Internet cafe. At the next local computer market the same drive will
probably be $5 to $10 cheaper.

The cafe also offered me a DVR-212 for AU$55.

Down to $45 Inc GST for the Pioneer DVR-212 now with one Bonus DVD-R
16X disc. This is in Australian Dollars and the drives are backed by
Pioneer Australia warranty support.
Your prices are average. And even if they were not, I would still
advise buyers to avoid you as a matter of principle.

In any case, if Pioneer is handling the warranty support, then people
may as well save the freight cost and deal directly with their choice
of vendors at various computer markets throughout Australia:

dealing

Who sells the pioneer 212 for below $45oz Franc ?

Please post what I've done to offend you.

I think my prices are pretty good.
A Pioneer DVR-212 with a bonus DVD-R 16X in slim DVD case for
$45 Inc GST. These are Australian prices.

Of course if a customer can get it over east for $55 Inc GST then its
best they buy from them to save on freight. If they are new to burning
they may still buy from me for that added support.

I sell to many DVD Authoring businesses since January of 2002.
I can't remember any customer being upset with me over any drive that
required warranty work or anything else for that matter. The few times
a drive has failed I have had in replaced at my own expence.

There are a few had problems with 16X media when it first came out and
firmware corrected this along with the later patch updates with Nero.
Its another reason why I have a support page so customers can download
the latest firmware along with the latest patch updates and look at
the tutorials or any of the trial versions to try before they buy
overseas.

If a drive fails the customer has a choice. If they are in Perth WA
then they bring it to me and I take it back to get replaced. If they
are over east they can still bring it back to me or they may prefer to
drop in to Pioneer as this will save on waiting for couriers.

People in Perth tend to drop by and pick up the drive so there are no
extra costs involved. If they are new to DVD burning then I'll show
them how to use Nero for DATA and Video burns at no extra cost.

I also have a support page with step by step instructions along with
added arrows on how to do a DVD burn if they forget what they have
seen.

Have a great evening.

Aus.dvd is full of your NEWS and COMM "infomercials".

The vast majority of posters provide help and support to others

You've never been to a computer market, have you?

http://www.computermarkets.com/market_info.php

About the Markets/Fairs

"For those who have not been to a computer market before, a computer
market is no different from any other market in that it is composed of
stalls run by various vendors. Each vendor pays a small fee for the
space he occupies and uses it to display and sell his goods. The sale
that takes place is a transaction between the vendor and the customer
and has nothing to do with the organizer of the market.

The difference between other markets and computer markets is that in a
computer market all stalls are involved in the selling of mainly
computer gear. On sale are complete systems, hardware, software,
accessories and peripherals, both second hand and new equipment. 95%
of a person's computer requirement can be satisfied at a computer
market. Also you will see virtually every brand of equipment. Walk
into a shop and you will see only a fraction of what's on display at
the computer markets we conduct."

These are not emails and a slong as they place a prefix in the subject line
then taht is all that matters.

You must be new to usenet. Learn the rules before coming back to play.

Yes and have been ripped off many times.
Been sold dead hard drives, dead video cards and a dead computer.

Its where the illegal trade of pirates come out to play.
The last one I went to there was a police raid on a stall selling pirate

Another interesting thing about SalesMart is that he often posts
info about things he doesn't sell, but that we might be interested
in (for some value of 'we').

I've never seen his posts as spam... Sometimes a bit of self-
interest maybe, but not out of line, IMO.

I post things that I do not sell at all.
Take the Pioneer 940HX recorder which I have posted in here and other
groups. The link is to Pioneer in the UK for those that live in the
UK.

I do not sell outside Australia.

In aus.dvd if someone asks for help like in here I'll post a reply
which may help them out as I do in here and the authoring news group
of "alt.video.dvd.authoring".

No the News posts are things that I often do NOT sell.
The Panasonic and Pioneer recorders I do not sell at all.

I see a lot of questions on what is a good recorder to buy now and
will often reply with my experiences and what is coming so that a user
may want to wait for the next line of recorders.

More posts are on helping others in these news groups than
advertising. Advertising is allowed and in the charter for these news
groups. I don't advertise in used news groups but I do advertise in
groups where I am allowed to advertise. In here its one commercial
post a week that is allowed. I rarely advertise in here but will post
when a new firmware version is out on various drives and if its worth
updating the firmware along with other new toys that are coming many
of which I do not sell.

Over the years I've replied to many that have asked questions about
the Panasonic recorders. Even had people email me from outside
Australia and have given them detailed replies. I like to help people
where possible.

I've been in business since 1993 and before that I was a PC
troubleshooter from 1987 to 1993 and posted on the bulletin board
system using the old Bluewave software on Byteline BBS which is
usenet. Back then there was only a few hundred news groups and today
then are hundreds of thousands.

Anyway if you do not want to read my posts you can filter them out.
Its why I post clearly for a commercial post which is "COMM". Thi sway
you can set your news reader to filter out any commercial posts.
