I don't think the exchange rate is 3 to 1, why are your prices so high? I just bought a Pioneer DVR-112D with Nero for AU$55 from a local Internet cafe. At the next local computer market the same drive will probably be $5 to $10 cheaper. The cafe also offered me a DVR-212 for AU$55. Down to $45 Inc GST for the Pioneer DVR-212 now with one Bonus DVD-R 16X disc. This is in Australian Dollars and the drives are backed by Pioneer Australia warranty support. |

In any case, if Pioneer is handling the warranty support, then people may as well save the freight cost and deal directly with their choice of vendors at various computer markets throughout Australia: http://www.computerfairs.com.au/ |

Are you trolling Franc. If you are going to post at least post where the drives are cheaper. Who sells the pioneer 212 for below $45oz Franc ? Don't expect a reply. |

| http://www.computermarkets.com/market_info.php About the Markets/Fairs |
|
"For those who have not been to a computer market before, a computer market is no different from any other market in that it is composed of stalls run by various vendors. Each vendor pays a small fee for the space he occupies and uses it to display and sell his goods. The sale that takes place is a transaction between the vendor and the customer and has nothing to do with the organizer of the market. |

You treat Usenet as your own personal billboard. Aus.dvd is full of your NEWS and COMM "infomercials". Then you do not know the rules of these news groups. As long as they place the prefix of Comm, FS, WTD, etc... in the subject line then they can post in here or any other news group. This way usenet posters can delete any posts from withing their news reader. Its one of the first posts that were posted in here on what can and can't be posted. http://ausdvd.oih.com.au/dvd-intro/ There are similar web sites for this and other news groups on why they were created and what can and can't be posted in here. The vast majority of posters provide help and support to others without ulterior motive. We don't believe that Usenet owes us a living in return. Isn't that calling the kettle black. You posted two commercials in here too. |

Another interesting thing about SalesMart is that he often posts info about things he doesn't sell, but that we might be interested in (for some value of 'we'). |
|
I've never seen his posts as spam... |
|
Sometimes a bit of self-interest maybe, but not out of line, IMO. |

I've never seen his posts as spam... Then you haven't been to aus.dvd. Twice weekly he pollutes the group with stuff like ... NEWS: See what I'm flogging today |

COMM: See how much I'm flogging it for Sometimes a bit of self-interest maybe, but not out of line, IMO. Would you say that it is OK to use the newsgroups as your own personal advertising space? If so, would it be OK for *every* backyard operator to follow SalesMart's "business model"? |
