Default Basic .WMV to DVD burn prog. - 04-30-2007 , 10:20 PM

Hi all! first apologies if i'm in the wrong place however i'm not as
young as i used to be and find some finer points of computing
confusing.

My needs are simple or so I thought! I have a few .wmv movies that I
would like to burn to DVD...any type so long as it will play on the
majority of DVD players.

I have spent hours searching but find most programs seem to be far too
complex., far too large thus too expensive for such limited usage.

I have been given the runaround with attempting to download Nero
micro, acclaimed as being just what I need. After much time, the best
I managed is to get a locked zip file, no password to be found
however.

Any advice as to a simple program that will fulfill my needs would be
greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Walter.

Maybe I should have mentioned that the .wmv files are on a harddrive,
so it is not a disc to disc operation that is required.

Thanks again.

Wally.

Often something that will do this comes with your DVD-burning drive. Did
it?

Otherwise, try ConvertXtoDVD (free trial, $40 USD to register).

Buy AVS Video Converter or Movavi Video Converter 5.1

Best - and fastest - that I've found is WinAVI Video Converter, which
converts all kinds of file types 9AVI, WMV, MPEG, etc. etc.) to
DVD-compatible files. Then use IMGBurn which burns a really fast DVD for
you...

Took me five months of messing around but this is the safest/fastest/
simplest method I've found...

DVDSanta is good too but it's clunkier to handle and slower to convert
files. (ConvertXtoDVD is also good but a bit slower.) Can't say I've ever
really compared the quality of the finished conversion though. What's that
like?
