Coma, I have enjoyed your advice and indications regards good software
to backup my DVD's/CD's. However, I am having serious difficulty with
backups using ripit4me and then backup with Nero...
Nearly all the dvd's have been 'freezing up' near the end of the dvd?
It's really winding me up as I hadn't tested them all the way through
and I guess most are struck with this problem now?
Can you offer any advice/guidance with this...using winxp, ripit4me
then nero...I've not got alot of experience so...eay/simple please....
Thanks for any advice
Allen
PS I did try using my friends DVDFab Platinum, but seems the same?

Did you use the latest and the last version of RipIt4Me (ver.1.7.1.0)
If not, then you can download it from here
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=5408

You can scan the ripped files with FixVTS
the latest and the last version is located here
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi...ols/fixvts.cfm

------------------

There is a program called PgcEdit that you can use to scan the
ripped files and see if the program can find any errors
http://download.videohelp.com/r0lZ/pgcedit/

And there is also a prgram called VobBlanker that can help you
find errors in your ripped files.

There is also a DVDFab freeware version,
it is called DVDFab HD Decrypter
http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm

----
DVDFab HD Decrypter don't compress a 8Gb DVD to a 4Gb DVD disc.
You have to use another program for that.
