Raite AVPhile 715, or RCA DRC 105 NA? -

I have a Sony DVP S530D, which apparently does not play MP3's. I also
have a Raite AVPhile 715 and an RCA DRC 105 NA, both of which list as
playing MP3's.
The Raite seems quite old, but probably of higher quality than the
RCA, about which I can find NO real information.
I don't know much about DVD players, and am trying to figure out which
will do the most with the least problems. I have S-Video hookups to
my television, but not component hookups, both of which both models
have. (I have only "plain old" video and audio hookups to my
receiver.) The RCA has a "progressive scan" switch, but ony for use
with component hookups.
I'll use it mostly for watching commercial DVD's and listening to
MP3's, but might also try a few DVD-R's, and possibly DVD-RW's, .
Any thoughts on which might be the better unit to go with? Any
assistance appreciated. |
