Issue with installing AGP card (ATI 9600XT) on 865-M7 -

I've followed the manual on how to install an AGP card. I set the BIOS
Video Init parameter to Onboard/AGP as the manual states (the other
option is PCI which i don't need). There is no other option i see that
disables onboard video so i assume that this motherboard will just
automatically disable the onboard card when an AGP card is plugged in.
The problem is... i still get no video signal on my AGP card when i
turn on the computer. I would plug the LCD back into the onboard card
and i would see video signal. So basically it seems like the
motherboard isn't autoswitching to the AGP card. I've also tried this
with another 865-M7 board same identical spec computer, and get the
same results. I've also tried using another AGP card (Nvidia 5200 FX)
and still don't get any video signal. IS there something else that i'm
suppose to do before I go crazy!?!? sigh not being able to use my
gaming card when on christmas vacation kinda sucks :P
thanks for any help. |
