L4VXA2 works just fine -

I've noticed that many times when help is requested, there is no follow-up
post telling how it all turned out. Here's a follow-up post for those who
need one, to encourage new owners of the nice Pentium 4 compatible mainboard
L4VXA2 to install and run it. It works just fine. Fry's in the S.F.Bay
Area sold a whole bunch of these rather inexpensive boards and P4-2.5G-400M
during the recent holidays, and if there were problems with them, I'm sure
Fry's would be in trouble, and there would be a pile of posts here asking
for help. But it doesn't appear much help is needed, so far. I followed the
manufacturer's suggestion to use PC2700 memory in putting my system
together, so I never saw the problems that DDR400 memory may produce.
Certainly didn't have to drop down to PC2100 speed. My system appears to be
very stable and trouble-free - - good job, ECS. |
