Default Updating BIOS on a Gigabyte MB - 04-27-2007 , 08:24 AM

Hi,

I've recently tried to update my BIOS on a Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-9, using
the @BIOS-tool (ver. 1.20) and the latest (ver. F9) BIOS file offered on
their website.

After restart, the MB fails to boot (lots of beeping and complaining)
finally reverting to the secondary BIOS, which of course is the "old" F4
it came with.
This happened every time I booted up.

I now have reinstalled my old BIOS from the backup I made (again, using
the @BIOS-tool) - end of bootup problem, but still F4 installed...

Any ideas how I can get the ver. F9 to work on my board?

Thanks,

Jesco

I found this forum describing a similar problem, maybe it will help:
