PowerNow is what is known as Cool'N'Quiet on AMD desktops. Same technology. You'll find the machine runs quieter and cooler. |

on a side note, my 2CPU mobo (a pair of AMD Opteron 250's) has bios with an option for MPS (Multi Processor something or other) 1.1 or 1.4 (presently set to 1.1) a google on it didn't get me much any clue of benefit/risk of going to 1.4? |
