hello!

im running my p3/866 mhz at a clock of 975 ( changing the fsb from 133
to 150 ) - the computer keeps running without problems and the
temperature stays relatively ok, since i use tools to determine it from
time to time , i've also upgraded the fan for this, --- the only problem
that occurs and really makes me nervous is that some programs, for
instance the game "painkiller" or "divine divinity" show crc errors when
installing from their media ( esspecially extracting from very big
(600mb or so ) files, could this be an error made by this oc?
could their be errors when im archiving myself ?

Are you talking about installing from CD media? If so, check
your PCI multiplier. For 150FSB you should have either a
fixed setting of 33MHz or a 1/4 multiplier for your FSB. And
some particularly sensitive IDE or SCSI disk controllers may
have problems even with a slight overclock (in this case
37.5MHz). E.g. I have one Adaptec SCSI controller that
starts to have problems at 37MHz and won't boot at all at
40MHz.
