Default Aptiva 570 Restore CD - 07-19-2006 , 12:35 AM

This box is so old (1999) I don't know if they even shipped with a restore
CD. Anyhow, my client as one and it looks hopelessly lost. So, I'd like to
restore it with all the original components, if possible. Does anyone have a
restore CD? This runs a 400Mhz P2, 12Gb HDD, 256Mb RAM.
I'd be glad to buy it for a reasonable price.
Is there an alternative "Plan B" that anyone can suggest?

Plan B would be to skip the restore CD and just load a fresh install of
Win98 on the system. Personally, there is very little of the original
software that they probably use or care about. I have done that on the
3 Aptiva systems that I've owned with no problems what so ever.

Second that, with the use of 98lite (free version
or pay) at:

Well I have an Aptiva from 1997 that shipped with a CD, so I presume yours
would have also.
Like the others, I finally ungraded to 98, and it still runs fine [for my 12
year old daughter], though I have upgraded and/or replaced just about
everything but the case over the years.
