Bonjour Sur un aptiva 2170, windows XP, je n'arrive pas à utiliser un modem PCI Smartlink. Le modem est bien reconnu mais il y a toujours un probleme de port COM. Quelque soit le port que j'utilise, il me dit que le port est utilisé par un autre périphérique alors qu'il n'y a rien d'autre. Y'a-t-il une incompatibilité entre le pc et le modem ? Thank you for your answer My problem is that nothing is listed. I only have the message that other program uses the com port. I tested every com ports and I have the same problem. Is there something to see what kind of device uses com port ? Thank you for your help Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I do not know of anything |

I do not know of anything that would tell you what is using the COM ports. Usually, modems use those ports. What do you have listed in the Device Manager? I'll keep trying to find something. Mike |

Yes, the mouse does use one of the COM ports. Printers and Network cards also use the COM ports. |
