Wanted: COUFLASH BIOS update for IBM Aptiva 2176

I recently inherited this old IBM Aptiva PC, model 2176-C66. It has
an old BIOS dated 1996. I would like to udate it to the latest
version dated, I believe, in 1999.

Please let me know what you have.

I think I have some of the firmwares lying around.
They will be on diskettes which are packed up in
a box somewhere so I'll take a look for them
either later today or tomorrow ...

I think this was the last update IBM issued.







This bootable diskette updates the BIOS level of 2134, 2159 and 2176
systems to level BST__4I/BFL__4N, whichever is appropriate.

Updates in this level of BIOS:

- Added DVD identification
- Fixed timings for DMA modes
- Added LBA seek command support
- Fixed return codes for INT 13H Extension failures
- Set up interrupt vectors if any drive is connected
- Don't wait for reset on warm boot
- Fixed ATAPI drive detection issues
- Set default parallel port mode to extended capabilities port (ECP)
- Don't spin up disks coming out of Standby
- Fixed check for real-time clock (RTC) update-in-progress
- Added checks for RTC update-in-progress in power management
- Updated timer tick Y2K rollover algorithm.
