Try re-initializing the bios first.There are at least two ways to do this.
First, There should be a jumper on the motherboard near the BIOS chip.You
pull the jumper and you'll see three tiny pins.Put the jumper back on the
opposite two pins it came from,then replace it in original position.
If you don't know about jumpers and such you can just pull the battery from
it's slot on the motherboard and replace it after a few seconds.
While you're at it find out the model number of your motherboard and get a
manual online.Good luck
