Default Extending RAID5 array - 05-16-2007 , 08:30 AM

Hi,

The RAID5 array is running on ServeRAID 6i. It is a RAID5 array with
3x72GB HDD. Recently we have run out of space and we increase the
Array Size using LDM(Logical Drive Migration). However, after the
migration complete, the free space showed as unused space(The system
is running Windows 2003).

What are the choice in extending the Windows partition?

Can I use Diskpart tools to extend the Data partition?
According to the KB at http://support.microsoft.com/?id=300415
It stated "The basic disk cannot have fault-tolerant disk driver
(FtDisk) sets such as stripes or mirrors". Does this mean I cannot
extend a partition that is built on hardware RAID?

Is there any third party partition resize tools that works on Hardware-
RAID devices?

Can I convert to Dynamic Disk and resize?
I understand that future RAID-5 LDM will not work -

What are the other options?

Thanks.
