Delete the WMM32 folder under WINNT. This resolved the modem issue for
me.

the modem, it fails to respond. When I try to test the modem with
Quicktest,
it gives me "Error accessing the modem!" I tried installing the
newest drivers
for the modem, but it didn't help. I tries uninstalling AOL
completely, but I
still get the error.
