Default xSeries 330 usb keyboard - 04-04-2005 , 04:00 PM

Good day,

I have acquired a couple of IBM xSeries 330 1U servers. Does anyone know
if this system supports a USB keyboard? I don't have a C2T breakout
cable to attach K/V/M.

I have been able to install a PCI video card to get a video feed, but
have been unable to get a keyboard/mouse connected.

Failing this, are there any known places where a C2T breakout can be
purchased for under $100 Canadian??

Regards,

Joel Charlesworth

Solved my own question. Yes, the 330 will support USB keyboard and
mouse, but only when appropriate drivers are loaded. In my situation, I
am installing CentOS 4. The USB ports don't become active until the
kernel is loaded. Hopefully I don't need to make any changes in the BIOS!
