Matrox outputs audio from DVD but no video

I have the Pioneer A05 DVD burner/player and Win 2000 running on a
very beefy machine with no problem except that Premiere and
AfterEffects will output video fine. The DVD player application runs
fine on the monitor but will not output anything but audio to my VCR.
Is this a software thing or copyguard thing?

It may be a physical plugs thing. Have you could the video line in
correctly?
