My IBM intellistion E pro keeps rebooting. When it first started I thought it was some sort if virus, so I did a clean install of windows XP (just to make sure). I erased the hard disk, partition it ect, ect. But when installing XP it reboots during the installation process and starts all over again with the installation. I tried it several times, but without any luck. I have done some tests. I changed from one to another hard disk, changend the power cable, even tried to install Linux to see if the XP installation CD was corrupted. But it also reboots with the Linux set up What puzzles me is that the diagnostic CD from IBM with the utillities to check everything works fine. No problems found either. I can do all the test on the computer and it doesn't reboot. I can also go into the bios without any problem. It seems that my pc only reboots when I start with the (system) software... Anyone experienced the same problem? suggestions? |
