I have an old Focus FK 9000 keyboard. It's super clickey, has no windows keys, 12 programmable keys, and the numeric keypad can be switched to be a caclulator. I don't want to give it up. I'm already using an adapter from the old style connector to PS2. I want to make it wireless. Does anyone know of an easy way to do this? |

A simple way would be to wire-in the electronics from a wireless keyboard. That would loose the programmability, but if your keyboard is single switches, then you could at least to an one-to-one match to the keys in the key-matrix of the wireless keyboard with enough wires. Pro: Energy consumption will be that of the canibalized wireless keyboard. Con: Lots of wiring to do and loss of programability. Also possible problems fitting the new elecronics into the old case. My advice: Leave it as it is. Likely it consumes to much energy for a reasoble wireless solution without complete electronics replacement.... |

I was hoping that the RF circuits on the wireless keyboards were a standard keyboard with a little radio replacing the wires. Even if they are on the same board I figured that a little work with a small knife and some soldering I could make it work. I suppose I'll have to wait until they are cheap enough for me to experiment. |
