Default mobo w/ serial BIOS? - 05-24-2006 , 11:26 AM

Ccan anybody recommend a motherboard with a BIOS that can be configured via
the serial port? I know such things exist but it's hard to find them
because googling for "motherboard bios serial port" brings up hundreds of
pages about configuring the serial port in the BIOS.

Look for server boards. I have for example one dual-opteron board
from Tyan that allows this.
They call this feature "Headless Operation via serial console redirect",
e.g. in this board: http://www.tyan.com/products/html/thunderk8hm_spec.html
