Default Newbie: graphics cards - 07-09-2005 , 12:41 PM

Apologies for being so low-tech. But I have a Compaq space saver PC and
I need to buy a graphics card. What sort am I looking for in terms of
campatability?

In short a P3, 930hz 512ram in need of a graphics card?

I might add my old card from a previous machine was too big!

You need a low profile graphics card. What are you going to do with
system? You could try looking at HP site (took over Compaq).
Mike.

The aim is to play half-life - since writing this e-mail I relise I need
a PCI card not an AGP card. Low-profle?

I hope you mean Half Life, not HL2? Just Google for Low Profile PCI
graphics card. Try http://www.directron.com/lowprofile.html

Do you by chance know anything about IBM Netfinity RAID Arrays? I have an
older Netfinity EXP 15 Machine Type 3520 that I am trying to get set up in
SBS 2003 and can not get it to go. I am using an IBM 3H/3L SCSI Raid
Controller Card and the system sees that, but does not see my RAID Array.
Thanks if you can help or point me in the right direction. IBM's web site
was useless, as it does not even list this one anymore.

First, what OS are you using?

Second, have you booted the ServeRAID support CD to set up
your array and logical drives?

If things are set up right you won't see the individual drives
in the array at all, you'll just see the logical drive created
by the ServeRAID controller.
