Default [problem upgrade memory] TEKNEO 7321 - 04-07-2005 , 07:42 AM

Hello everybody

My notebook (IPC) has 256 MB of RAM
I wanted to upgrade the ram and I purchased a 512 MB SO-DIMM PC-133
module from PNY
I have installed this ram module after removing the 128 MB one under the
keyboard
when booting 608 MB of ram are seen by the bios (256 - 128 + 512 -32 MB
of video shared memory) then windows xp is normally loaded but as soon
as an application is loaded there is an error 0x0000008E with a blue screen

my questions : Someone knows how much memory can this notebook accept?
Is there another 128 MB module elsewhere in the machine that I should
remove?
Is there a technical notice available for this notebook somewhere
(though I have searched for un long time yet!!)
thank you and sorry if my english is not correct...!

There is usually a small square panel under the laptop which is the
usual upgrade location. Download Microsoft memory tester from
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp and run it. Choose
the bootable floppy option and then test your laptop.
Mike.
