Hi, My Motherboard is only AGP 4x compatible and I need to run a dual-link DVI capable graphics card. I found a near match in the NVIDIA AGP 7600GS described at <http://www.quietpc.com/gb-en-gbp/products/ components/msi-nx7600gs-td512z> but I need to know whether an AGP 8x graphics card will run in an AGP 4x slot ? Motherboard is a MicroStar MS-6533, chipset is SiS 645. Thanks in advance, Mike |

If you have the budget, you may want to look at getting PCI-E motherboard (along with proper cpu and ram). PCI-E is the current and faster bus system. |

Thanks for your answer Brian, does this mean that _all_ 8x AGP graphics cards will run in a 4x AGP Motherboard slot ? Or did you happen to know the answer for this particular card ? |
