IBM P260 DVI Connection

Hi

I have bought IBM p260 monitor and I want to use it with my Thinkpad
T40.
I connected dvi out on my Thinkpad Port Replicator II with DVI-D cable
to
DVI input in P260 and I`m unable to get signal/images on the monitor.
I don`t now what is wrong with this setup but I want to use DVI because
the image quality with analog input is very bad (blurry text) - that is
very common
with laptops.
