Default CRT edges - 07-28-2003 , 02:58 PM

There are a lot of old CRT monitors laying around and I was thinking
it might be fun to put some of them to use. My idea is to remove the
cases from monitors and put the tubes flush with each other. Then,
using a video segmenter circuit (which I have yet to design), the
monitors could be used together as one large monitor.

My question is, how much dead space usually exists at the edge of a
CRT? If it's a centimeter then this project may result in a decent
screen. If it's larger then I'm not sure I want to spend the time to
build this.

Just remove the case and see, it's not really hard to do or anything.
