dual monitor problem

I used to have an option in my display settings for a dual monitor,
but it disappeared. How con I get it back?

I don't think you will have it show up until another monitor is hooked up to
the video card.. At least it won't on mine. I can run a DVI and analog cable
to the same Viewsonic monitor. Then it shows up..
