Hello. I'm wondering if it's possible to place a plain CRT (or preferably an LCD panel) monitor in a strategic indoor location so that people who work in the building can see particular information. That is, if I have a database that displays schedule information on the user's screen, is there a way to"pipe" that information (through a LAN) to a monitor/display that's in a particular location (kind of like if the monitor has its own IP address)? I need to be able to take local or "one-user" screen information and have it displayed publicly (but still on the LAN). Do I have to have a dedicated PC to drive each monitor? I'm not interested in those airport-style LED message boards. It's similar, but rather than this type of display, I need a standard video display. Help, please? |
