Default 24-pin converter - 01-10-2006 , 01:11 AM

I'm not looking for one. I need some advice.

I have a device in my computer that lets me turn on the computer via remote
control.

See: http://www.thinkcomputers.org/v2/ind...&id=274&page=2

Basically, the 20pin extension goes into the PSU 20pin, and into the
motherboard, and a 3 pin thingie on the extension links into the front
panel to feed power. A myriad of other wires and connections makes the
whole damn thing work.

I want to upgrade this computer. What I'm looking at, the motherboard uses
24-pin ATX, not 20-pin.

Since this device works with 20 pin, but the board needs 24 pin, is it
possible to just get a 4pin converter? Kinda like the AUX power on a P4
board? So, I can keep this device in the loop, but still keep things
compatible with the new PSU?

Thanks in advance.
