My Vpn has never worked. I can connect but cannot see the shared folders on remote connection. I've already enabled Netbios over TCP/IP on all machines but still no folders in site. Someone told me I needed to setup the Wins pointers. I found the place to do this in properties but where does one get the value of the pointers? |

Enable use of LMHOSTS file. Then find out the ip address and name of the domain server on the remote network. --- |

"daytripper" Enable use of LMHOSTS file. Then find out the ip address and name of the domain server on the remote network. --- Thank you for the reply. But I'm confused, when I list the displaydns with ipconfig I get a huge list of servers. Can I just pick anyone of them or am I looking in the wrong place? |

"daytripper" You're looking at the wrong thing. You need to find out the info for the DOMAIN server for the remote network, but you're looking at NAME servers... --------- |
