Is there any PC "drivetest" software for CF/SD media?

I know I have to reformat a card in the camera before taking pictures,
but I'm sure the in-camera format doesn't do any testing. I also know
that solid-state memory cards should be very reliable.

That being said, what PC software is good for a read/write test of a
card that I've lost confidence in.

Probably none. You should toss the card.

Just run format from the command prompt. It gives you the bad cluster count.

You can wipe it with diskpart if there are any. See "cleaning old ..." thread.

The silliest thing about that post is that if the drive is really
borked, it should be sent back for replacement under warranty. I would
assume it's still under warranty since any decent brand has at least 5
years and I suspect the card is not that old (unless it's like 128mb
or something in which case who's going to worry about it?)
