Is DMA free-for-all? - 03-07-2007 , 07:10 AM

Hello.

Is it possible for a rogue PCCard to read or write to arbitrary
locations in memory (system RAM) without a rogue driver being
installed?

If yes, is there a way to prevent this on a system without a IOMMU?
Will removing any drivers help?
