Machine type 6862 is a generic IBM PC 300PL that covers PII/PIII and a
variety of speeds: what is the 3 character model number?
What OS are you running?
Any idea what make/type/model/speed of token ring card?
If it's all IBM gear, try the IBM website www.ibm.com

i tried the ibm site, they don't have it anymore, they said to buy a
new one. the token ring is 16, and i dont have it in front of my so i
don't know the 3 character model number, on the sticker it said
model:6862. Its a p2, and i had win98 on there, do you think win2k may
have a generic driver that would work?

thanks.

PC model number is three characters on the sticker after 6862.
Goto IBM product support and enter type and model in product search.

AFAIK there are no generic TR cards like NE2000 enet cards.
Alternative is buy a new TR card that has a driver for whatever OS
you're running.

yeah, im probably gonna have to buy a new one. and liek i said, ibm
doesnt have the driver anymore. also under model it only had 4 digits.
But anyhow, for 15 bucks i doubt its worth the effort.
