Logitech joysticks lose calibration?

In online reviews from 6-12 months back Logitech joystick users
complain that after some time of active playing with Logitech USB
joysticks, the devices will lose their calibration, and after
recalibration they will lose it soon again (eg. 5 minutes of playing).
This problem is said to affect the entire product line of USB
joysticks.

Has Logitech addressed this problem - does it still occur with latest
batches of their hardware or latest versions of their software? One
user connected this to the joystick's entries in Windows registry, and
Logitech provides a program for removing all calibration entries in the
registry, so that might help...
