Can anyone recommend a good & sturdy laser fax, tried and true as
Robotic ext v.91 modem not necessary the latest and most expensive?

You can get the Nec NEFAX-805 Multi-function High Speed Laser Fax
Machine for around $ 1600. It's got great specs and reliability.

Of course, you set your standards pretty low if you just want
something as good as a US Robotics modem, and a $ 50 murata should
be just fine for that.
