Default printer ports - 01-19-2004 , 05:17 AM






when building my own system is there a particular type of printer port
i would get or does any one work with any printer.

Some printers use parallel printer ports (which are the large 25-pin
things); some newer ones use USB ports. I suspect that there are some
rather old Apple printers that use neither, but these are probably
irrelevant to your question.

In either case, almost certainly both of these will be built onto
whatever motherboard you buy, so you don't need to purchase one
separately.
