USB mouse installation in win98se: Its a Creative USB, wireless, optical mouse. I have managed to reinstall the USB drivers on my machine which I got from www.driverguide.com, I am not 100% certain this was necessary but at least win98se now says it has the right drivers, instead of asking me to insert the windows CD and then going "HUh? -why have you inserted the windows CD" (or words to that effect) when I do. How can I get my machine to ignore the PS2 mouse and start using the USB one? If I unplug the PS2 mouse it just says it has no mouse, and the stubborn stillness of the pointer would seem to concur. I have no intention whatsoever of deleting the the PS2 drivers, oh no, not me. I have tried creative's website for support but they seem to think problems with this product are impossible. I have pressed all the buttons on the mouse and wireless receiver and now its getting on my tits. Help? -- You can't email me at the moment. Do you use filesharing networks? If so, please visit my online poll: http://vote.sparklit.com/web_poll.spark/780772 anthonyberet Have you tried entering the BIOS setup and disabling the PS2 mouse function? |
