I have a working OKI C7300 colour laser printer which has a noisy fan, having almost stripped the printer down it has quite a few fans however the one that is buzzing is of course deep inside the printer where I can't reach it. I have managed to get hold of an engineers diagram of the printer assembly and the fan appears to cool a circuit board way down (Power cooling fan OKI part number 41469006) under the tray below the OPC belt but above the duplex unit. Unfortunately I cannot find a way into this area of the printer, it's not accessible from underneath, the diagram suggests it's accessible from above but it's surrounded by solid plastic. Anyone have any history servicing these printers? I'm encouraged so far by the fact that every fan I've located so far has been a nice standard easily replaced model, but I just can't reach the one making the noise! Regards, TH. |
