Default HP 820Cse DeskJet - 04-13-2007 , 05:07 PM

Since I've changed to a new computer using WinXP from an old Win98SE machine
I'm no longer able to print on both sides of a page.I've looked under
Properties and Preferences for the printer and can't find a place to check a
"print on both sides" preference.I also checked on the HP website and get a
message that the latest driver for my printer is installed.
Any help would be much appreciated.

These prefences do not appear in the Control Panel/Printers and Faxes
preferences and Properties dialogs in Win XP.
If you try to print from Word using File/Print, the dialog box should appear
and at the upper right you should see a Manual Duplex box. If it is not there
the wrong driver is installed.
In that case you should uninstall the printer (don't delete it) and reinstall
using the built in WinXP driver. Note that the Options button (on the same
dialog) gives various duplexing options for this printer.

The application will have to permit manual duplex printing, if it doesn't then
you might want to search for a utilty that will help. I don't know if there is
such a utility but someone else here may know.
