I have an HP 932C printer connected to a Win98 SE computer on my Linksys home network. I often use my Win XP computer (wired) to print on this shared printer. Today, when I print from the XP computer, the printed text is not clear. There's a gray shadow behind each letter, making it look 3D. Interestingly, it's only on the black text. Colored text is clear and sharp. Printing directly from the Win 98 computer is perfect. It's just when it goes over the network that it doesn't print clearly. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks! Scott The printer may need calibration(Cartridge exchanged?). In high quality text |

In high quality text the black letters are underlaid with grey from the color cart, could be misaligned here. Also try printing in normal quality, this is strictly black. I had the closely related DJ3820, with a bug in high quality, which would cause somttimes the black to be omitted for a whole line, with only barely visible grey text. -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |
