Datacard / Eltron - how ??

Hi!
I need some information about how break counter in color card printers
(Datacard, Eltron "i'" series, etc).
Every time I open my printer, counter automatically add 1 number of
the ribbons panels...and I lost every time 1 panel...

I think that all users of this kind of printers, have the same
problem.
