I can't seem to figure out what and how determines what settings/profile are used by printer on default. I mostly print on plain paper. I've created custom profile to set the combination of color correction/raster quality that I like. Problem is, I could never make it stick - the printer seemed to default to its factory defaults. But now something happened and I have it a lot worse: the default now is 4x6 Photo Glossy! (Not the settings in the "default" profile but settings that are used when simply turning the printer on and printing without profile selection). So now, every time I forget to change profile manually, I end up wasting lots of paper and inks. Please someone tell how to revert to the plain paper defaults, preferably with my favorite settings. Thanks much, DK |

To reset the default profiles: Start>>Settings>>Printers and choose the Canon and make your settings from their and not from a document or other software program. |

That is the only way to change the defaults permanently.
