Ask for it.
If you have a 35mm film camera or a Digital camera your image proportions
are 2:3
Epson & HP Papers are available as 2:3 only for their 4x6 Photo Paper
Neither offer 8 x12 to match your format because you are not asking them
for it.

I don't want it either, but thanks for asking.

No.

Your reply respresents the ugliest of trash that permeates the newsgroups.
You have nothing to offer. You contribute nothing. You are nothing!
Your terse "No" is no humor. It is malice.

Not everybody shares your opinion. Get over it.

As I said in another reply. there all ready is a solution YOUR problem,
8.3" wide roll paper. That's what I use.

Here's the answer
Your printer supports it, so what's the problem? Oh, you want some one
else
to cut it for you?........

For these resaons:
1. I'd have to load the 8.3" x 32' Roll onto my printer. Lot more work
than stacking sheets.
2. I'd have to unload the Roll to switch to a different type or size
paper.
3. The equivilent Roll paper cost twice as much as similar size cut
sheets.
4. I'd have to cut each image twice, once to trim the.3" another to 12"
5. Roll paper that size is not available in the types I often use.

That's the problem!

Still sound a hell of a lot easier than changing a century (or more) old
industry, don't ya think?

The Industry?
HP made a special 4x6 perforated sheet paper.
Epson came up with a 12 x12 paper for the new scrapbook needs
Both Epson & HP are producing new sizes and types often just not 8x 12

As I said in another of your posts, inkjet printers use paper sizes
from traditional printing. 4x6 made it through, so there maybe some
hopes of lobbying, but a long shot as there never was an 8x12 size for
even photo printing, most labs used roll or 11x14 paper, you generally
paid for 11x14 when you asked for 8x12. An easy alternative is to buy
13x19 paper and halve the sheets, if you only have an 8.5 inch wid
printer you have 2 cuts to make. A good paper cutter helps alot.

Yes I do. I buy an 11 x 14 sheet and cut it to 8 x 12.
No question but in a competative marketplace the need bor 8 x 12 goes
unsold.
How revolutionary!

Or you can buy 12" x 16", 12" x 18" and 13" x 19" papers and cut them to
some appropriate size. The 12" x 16" papers (mainly available for
artists) would make two 12" x 8" papers with no waste at all. The
others allow for a number of options, like having borders, or adjusting
the image size somewhat.

Or maybe your just one of a small number that wants it. With greed in
corporations never having been higher than it is now if there was a market
they would be killing each other to milk that market.
