Default Epson Perfection 2400 Software - 02-20-2010 , 01:09 PM

I, who save everything, cannot find my original Epson install disc. Due to
reformatting my HD, I have downloaded the Epson Twain Driver and the scanner
works fine. But, I guess I need the Smart Panel software to get the front
buttons (like COPY) to work. Is that a readily available download from
somewhere? Thanks.

Should be available from the Epson Web site in the download area for your
model scanner.

I was hoping so but it only has the TWAIN Driver and EPSON Scan Utility
v2.65A. I doesn't have the Smart Panel program on the list.

I sent Epson an email about it. Meanwhile, I found some freeware calld
Photocopier 3.05 that does not activate the COPY button but does provide a
copy function shortcut on the desktop. It's basic but gets the job done in
the interim. http://www.nicocuppen.com/pit/editor...l.php?id=10103

Thanks for jumping in and I like your rants on your website!

Yes, after I posted, I realized than Smart Panel is no longer available
for download from Epson.

You need to find your missing CD.
I am curious, how did reformatting your hard drive cause you to lose the
Epson CD?

There may be some bootleg versions on line.

I find this by searching in Google.

It may be nothing.

Clicking on the link in the above page takes you to this link.

Says it is a 30 day free trial. Maybe a way to purchase a registration.

If you want to activate the copy button try the freeware (old version
only) of Simple CopierVersion 3.31 from Neogie is. Go to the bottom of
the linked page and click on the Téléchargement link to download. Don't
worry, you can select English at installation.

Wow, that is a nice little program. Probably better than the Smart Panel.

The only thing that I cannot figure out is how to keep it from cutting off
the first 1/4" next to the edge of the glass. The Epson Scan Utility doesn't
do that. The great thing is that even if I don't use the Simple Copier, the
Copy button is now active.

I looked around and that is the only site anywhere that offers that
download. Thanks!!!

Also, I contacted Neogie and their answer was... "Too old, don't remember".

Hi I am in the same situation, I have borrowed an EPSON 2450 scanner
from my son and he has lost his 2 cd's that came with it.
Epson Australia no longer stock these cds and cannot supply them.
The epson part numders are:
#3003887 Sotware derivers etc,
#3003897 Applications.

I did find that the Epson site in England (www.epson.co.uk) did have a
much better selection of programs you could download .
They had CopyFactory v2.5 and also CopyFactory 4.26 Upgrade,
Epson AU only had the upgrade which required CopyFactory v 4.0 to be
installed, But by not having the install cd's I was temporally
stuffed.
If you have any luck with getting these 2 cd's could you please
contact me, likewise if I have any success I will contact you.
Thanks Jim Mcc jmccardl2 (AT) bigpond (DOT) com
