I don't care about VueScan because I don't use it but many in this newsgroup know what a terrible program VueScan is. I personally wouldn't recommend it, but to each his own. You can read hundreds of angry VueScan victim's complaints by searching the archives of this group at: http://groups.google.com for VueScan bugs or similar. |

That's why one of its nicknames is: VueBUG!
I don't use it for a number of reasons. The notorious D-max (gamma
linearization) to name one. As I said many times, to date VueScan is
not capable of scanning the Raw data with a linear gamma. Actually
it's not capable of scanning, period!

Anyone who is interested can use http://groups.google.com Click on Advanced options, choose "Sort by date", search the group "comp.periphs.scanners", and search for my messages. When you find a particularly obnoxious or rude posting, it's from people attacking me. I never use rude language and never participate in flame wars. This seems to infuriate some (rabid) Vuescan "fans". |
now I just can't take it anymore. So I started faking your messages.
The trouble is no matter what we (me and Ed) try it all seems to
backfire on us! Like this current train wreck we caused.
But now we don't know how to get out of it without losing face. OK, we
lost face already by exposing that Ed actively supports me but we're
still hoping for some miracle and continue with knee jerk reactions.
